Our Story

Our story began over a century ago, in 1907, with the creation of Europe’s first specialist travel insurance company. Its purpose was simple: to protect travellers and the things they cared about. That idea laid the groundwork for the travel insurance we know today.

As the business grew, it became known as ERV, a name trusted across Europe for dependable travel protection. ERV later joined the ERGO Group, one of Europe’s leading insurance organisations, backed by the global financial strength of Munich Re.
